The Facts Of Matter Are

( - promoted by Jack's Smirking Revenge)

Today's health care summit didn't completely bring out the Republican's side in what they believe about health care.

Quite simply, they believe not everyone is entitled.  Only the chosen ones are eligible.  The computations for that involve God and the hand of the Free Markets and other things that don't involve anything the CBO can quantify.

Poor people.  Ugly people.  Different people.  People that don't go to their churches are denied (i.e. corporation, golf club).

This didn't show up in today's forum.

d3n4l1 :: The Facts Of Matter Are
It never will show up in it's entirety in Jefferson's archives.

Because they know that the American people aren't that crazy.  They just haven't gotten around to saving the rest of us.  But only the saved matter, but in God's own timing.

Polls show again and again, regardless of party identification, when the basic questions about Progressive values are asked, human decency is a common value.

It always comes out that way.  When we factor in the rest of the 95% of the unsaved humanity takes action on it seems to be a base value; most countries make it illegal, criminal to profit from providing health insurance.

And if it's not a human right it's a Mathematical value, ie. even Ugly minds can be Beautiful Minds, making it a Universal Nobel cause (the Nobel won by the character portrayed in "A Beautiful Mind" was won for proving that cooperation is always more productive than competition, through game theory - Just don't let businesses cooperate to compete against consumers).  It's the way for everyone to win the game.

The people on the Conservative side of the isle don't believe in that.  There are superstitions that factor in that they'll never put on the record.  Some other moral factor.  Equality, fairness and a well functioning Heathan Government be damned, forever in fire.

Not all of them, but just enough of them.  And not even the same people all the time, because they're that incongruent, inconsistent (crazy).  But the belief is so strong that their side of the isle has become little Stockholm.  There is alot of confusion in little Stockholm, maybe because the truth of salvation is not universally understood.  A little God graced corporate manna will take care of their discontent.

As I've said before, if the other side is not willing to represent themselves honestly, they nullify their position.

There has to be some rules to this game.

Now I have second point.  They say reconciliation has never been used before on something so big.  But it was.  Deficits put in by reconciliation in the past 8 years greatly exceed anything we want to do.  One of the things they did with Reconciliation was fuck up Medicare.  Fire with fire and all that applies.

I often write about a Pendulum.  What I forget to say I see as a part of the force being imparted on the Pendulum pushing to the right is the Propaganda being pushed into the American mind.

More precisely, the outright lies.  AFAIK, historically lies only zenithed in elections.  Now they are 24/7 on red, blue and white color TV with flags and patriotic songs.

They are lies to scare the American people in to doing Nothing.  Nothing for each other.

You should do Nothing for the poor. That's why "reconciliation has not been used" (it has), other than to break the budget.  They want Nothing.  Nothing but their God, and the Corporate manna.  No Government, but they'll settle for a broke impotent one.

The pendulum must begin swinging the other way.  We must put an equal and opposite reaction on it.

Reconciliation is equal, not more, not less.

The American people, the one's who hold Progressive values, can feel it's still off, and they're wondering WTF is taking so long.

Propagandists confuse the People, it's their job.  These confused People don't know why things feel off or how it's off, they just know it is.  They just want to feel upright again.  Setting matter straight is the job of Congress.

Why has the Public Option seemed to have gained stigma in Congress? (5.50 / 2)
What's the rationality?

Most people are idiots... But don't tell them. It'll spoil all the fun for those of us who aren't.  Vision flows where you decide to let it.  Same as it ever was.

Too simple a reform? (5.33 / 3)
Too against the insurance industry?

Too much socialism?

Too much competition from the government, i.e. USPS v. UPS, FedEx, et al; for example?

Too much corruption?

Anybody else wanna help me out?

I didn't watch the Health Care Summit, but you know what? (5.00 / 1)
It's not surprising that it turned out the way it did.  I figured it would.  Same old, same old, inotherwords.

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men." -- Samuel Adams (1722-1803)

Great piece (6.00 / 4)
The propaganda won't stop, either. There's ratings in it.

This shit's turning into a fuckin cartoon. Millions of wholesome middle Americans fleeing the beast that wants to, ya know, make sure they have coverage when they get cancer.

Corporate manna (6.00 / 3)
